The
HIPAA Privacy Rule
At 860 typeset pages, the privacy rule
is about twice as long as the King James version of The New
Testament. It is longer than the Koran, longer than
Homer's epics the Iliad and the Odyssey, and longer
than Virgil's Aneid. And at the risk of putting too fine a
point on it, the privacy rule is about the same length as Les
Miserables.
The privacy
rule is longer than all other sections of HIPAA taken together. In
fact, to many of the people and organizations affected by HIPAA, the
privacy rule is HIPAA |
