It wasnt all that
long ago that having a baby was almost an impersonal occasion. The
father and other family members were relegated to a waiting room
when mom was whisked off to the delivery room. Anywhere from minutes
to hours and a few miles of pacing later, a doctor or nurse would
return and give the family the good news.
In some
facilities, thats still how babies are delivered. But not at Howard
University Hospital. |
